What's the difference between All Class Drivers and a tax collector office?

Road tests are just one of many services provided by a tax collector office. At All Class Drivers, we specialize in this service with a focus on quality.

While a road test at a state office may be cheaper, our pricing reflects the true value of your time. We prioritize efficient communication, scheduling, and service as well as providing a welcoming atmosphere with educational opportunities.

For most people, taking a free road test at a tax collector office may be the best option. However, if you want to avoid long wait times, need a low-stress testing environment, require test preparation, or simply need a car for the test, we’re here for you. At All Class Drivers, you’re not just a number waiting in line- Visit our office and experience the difference!

Where is the road test conducted?

The test is conducted on small, low-traffic roads near the facility.

How long is the road test?

The road test takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, depending on traffic levels. With administrative requirements, execution of the test, and after-test discussions, plan to be in and out within 30 minutes.

After passing the road test, how soon can I get my driver's license?

Applicants who pass the road test are given an All Class Drivers Certificate to take to your local tax collector office, which can be used to bypass making an appointment and get the license printed out, same day. Some counties DO require appointments to print out the license, so please ensure you check your specific county's policies.

If I fail my road test, what happens next?

No one is perfect, so failures happen, even to good drivers. If a student fails, he or she will be told exactly what they did correctly as well as what caused the failure.

A retest will be scheduled at the next available date. All retests must be taken at least 24 hours after the previous test.

How many times can I take the test?

In Florida, all applicants are given 5 chances per year to pass the road test. The first 3 attempts may be conducted at a Third-Party Administrator (TPA).

If the applicant fails the first 3 attempts within a year, the 4th and 5th attempts must be conducted at a tax collector office.

Do you offer at-home pick up services?

In short, no. Our goal is to challenge our students in the safest ways possible. We have carefully selected routes in the surrounding area that include various road types, such as vacant parking lots, quiet back roads, busy highways, and interstates. These pre-determined routes allow our team to quickly customize lessons to meet the specific needs of our students, safely placing them in a range of common driving scenarios on familiar roads.

To ensure we provide the best service and support as many students as possible, all in-person services must take place at our Lakeland office.
